Investing in Turks & Caicos

Why invest?

  1. There are no restrictions on foreign property Ownership. Land titles are held personally or in a Trust or corporation.

  2. There is no land/asset holding tax, thus investors would not carry any on-going tax burden. Furthermore, there is no corporate, capital gains or inheritance tax.  The only taxes currently in place are regular import duties on items brought into the country and a one-time Stamp Duty on real estate acquisition.

  3.  Turks and Caicos has one of the lowest crime rates in the Caribbean.

  4. British Dependent Territory status ensures an accountable legal and political system.

  5. The Turks and Caicos Islands is a rapidly emerging market continually ranked as a top tourist destination in the Caribbean and frequently named as offering the best beaches in the Caribbean.

  6.  Land registration and title can be held personally, or in a TCI Corporation or Trust, and is protected by the Government of Turks and Caicos Islands.

  7. Simple buying process

The Turks and Caicos Islands is becoming an extremely popular destination, both as it relates to tourism and real estate investment. One of many reason include the fact that the islands are a tax neutral jurisdiction, therefore do not have annual property, income, inheritance or estate, capital gains, corporate, or foreign exchange taxes. There is only a one-time land transfer or ‘Stamp Duty’ that ranges between 6 and 10 percent of the purchase price off the property, which is paid to the government. This occurs on all real estate transactions regardless of how many times it is sold. From that point on no further annual taxes exist.

Given that the Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Dependent Territory, using the Land Torrens System, title of ownership is guaranteed by the British Crown, making our clients investment  safe and secure, providing a high level of confidence. All properties are registered with the Turks and Caicos Land Registry in the Nations Capital of Grand Turk

Another factor our clients consider one of the islands major attractions is convenience and easy access. The Turks and Caicos Islands are located 575 miles (925 km) southeast of Miami, Florida, roughly midway between the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. The country is an archipelago of eight major islands and many small cays, and is located in the tropical Atlantic Ocean. The Turks and Caicos is a great tropical vacation destination as we are home to some of the finest beaches in the world, yet are only a short direct flight from many east coast cities in the United States. Major cities including New York, Charlotte, Boston and Philadelphia are less than 4 hours away, and Chicago, Toronto and Montreal are under 5 hours by plane.
